Terms of Water Resistance
Every CHRONOFORCE watch is tested for water resistance before leaving the factory and here is some general guidance to the different levels and their usage:
3ATM or 3 BAR (30m or 100ft)
Suitable for everyday use can withstand gentle splash such as rain but not suitable for swimming.
5ATM or 3 BAR (50m or 165ft)
Suitable for everyday use, swimming and splash in pool but not for poolside diving or water sports.
10ATM or 10 BAR (100m or 330ft)
Everyday use, poolside diving and snorkeling, not suitable for high board diving, high impact or water sports.
20ATM OR 20 BAR (200m or 660ft)
Minimum required for high board diving, high impact water sports or scuba diving. The only watches which are designed to withstand continued use in these conditions are professional divers’ watches. Only watches marked “Divers" on the dial or case back should really be used for diving as these fully comply with the international standards for diver's watches.
